This may sound too simple to be good, but it is great! i eat this almost every morning (when im not rushing out the door)
Ingredients:
- 1 banana
- handful of your favorite nuts. (for this particular recipe i like walnuts)
-sun butter or almond butter (i like both)
-cinnamon
-liquid sweetener. i use maple syrup or brown rice syrup (even though it isnt raw.)
Cut up the banana into slices and put in bowl. Add 2 tbspn of the almond butter.
break up your nuts into pieces and throw on top.
add a little bit of syrup. sprinkle cinnamon on top and mix together.
Yup, that easy and very tasty! it is filling and will hold you over until lunch!

YUM indeed! I make something similar in the mornings, only I also add thick cut oats (left raw) or dehydrated buckwheat groats. It’s good stuff! And you are totally right, it keeps you full all morning long!
wow that sounds great! are thick cut oats gluten free? i have a gluten allergy as well. by the way, your site is awesome!!! it looks so cool! great job!
check out KD’s website here! >> http://www.yourdailyvegan.com/
I use Bob’s Red Mill thick cut oats which aren’t gluten free. They do make a gluten free oat though which would work just as well. You can see them here – http://www.bobsredmill.com/gluten-free-rolled-oats.html
Thank you about the site, we recently relaunched and I’m super excited about it
I’m going to try this! I usually make something very similar but I throw in quinoa and a bit of soymilk, but sometimes I’m just not in the mood to actually cook anything. I hadn’t really thought to just use everything but the quinoa!
i cut up a banana, add the AB and cinnamon, and also a tsp. of cocoa…holy moly…yummy!
